If you’ve saved through Raisin, you’ll receive an Annual Statement showing the interest you earned during the year. When you complete your tax return on FastTax.ie, this statement contains everything you need.
Here’s exactly what to do.
Step 1: Download your Raisin Annual Statement
First, log into your Raisin account and download your Annual Statement for the relevant tax year.
Your Annual Statement summarises:
- Total interest earned
- Any foreign tax deducted
- The countries where your savings were held
Keep this document open, you’ll use it as you complete your FastTax.ie return.
Step 2: Log into your FastTax.ie account
Log into FastTax.ie and open your tax return. Under Income Sources, you’ll see a section called Bank Deposit Interest.
Select Add New Deposit Interest and use Deposit Type “EU Deposits” or “Other Deposit Interest” depending on the bank’s location.
Step 3: Enter the details from your Raisin statement
You’ll be asked to input the Bank Name, Gross Interest Received, as well as any Irish tax or foreign tax already paid. This info is easy to find on your Raisin statement. Then simply hit Save.
For subsequent years, the FastTax.ie system will remember which banks accounts you’ve logged before, making it simpler and faster to complete each year.
Step 4: FastTax.ie calculates the correct tax automatically
Once your interest is entered, FastTax.ie does the rest.
We:
- Apply the correct Irish tax treatment
- Ensure everything is reported properly
- Prepare your Form 11 in line with Revenue requirements
There’s no need to figure out tax rates or Revenue forms yourself.
Step 5: Review and file with confidence
Once complete, you’ll be able to review your full return.
Depending on the FastTax.ie package you choose, your return can also be checked by our experts before filing.
This gives you peace of mind that everything is correct.
